Get Images
How can I get an image?
First of all, you can only use an image with the written authorization by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
To request authorization, you first need to save all the
images you want in a lightbox. Once you have completed your
selection, press the "Request" button at the bottom
of the lightbox. Pressing this button will bring up an electronic
form which you need to complete by filling in all information
and pressing "Send application". IOM will receive
your request, review it, and, if approved, send you the images
in electronic format normally within one to two working days. >> More information
You can request authorization for a maximum of ten (10) images
at a time. All authorizations are limited to one specific
purpose at a time.
Please be sure to provide a clear description of the purpose for which you want to use an image. It will save you and us a lot of time and effort if we do not have to ask you for clarification. For instance, if you need an image for a journal, please provide its title, number, the name of the article, the number of copies printed, and the target audience.
What are the conditions which I have to respect?
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) provides images strictly on the basis of its policy and full adherence to the terms and conditions imposed on the use of this library and the images it contains.
Violations of the authorization to use an image will be pursued in accordance with IOM's policy, terms and conditions and other means IOM deems appropriate.
Charges
IOM provides images for free unless stated otherwise. However,
we ask you to send us two copies of your product for our own
reference.
Fees for shipping and handling may be charged where applicable.
